Project / beam setup
Member end forces are available for single-member, single-span analysis only.
Continuous beam
Internal column lines are modelled as simple vertical supports. The left and right beam ends can be set to free, simple or fixed.

Advanced EC3 load combination audit
Per-check EN 1990 6.10a/6.10b envelope
Custom factors are metadata-only in this stage.
Spring support settings
0% behaves like a free end vertically. 100% behaves close to a stiff support.
Reference spring equivalence: spring percentages are reused as the current support-restraint assumption and recorded for comparison.
Advanced EC3 support mapping
Recorded for reference comparison; not yet used by calculation engine.
Section selection
Enter section dimensions and the app will derive the section properties automatically.
Include section self‑weight as full-span G UDL
SLS self-weight included for reference comparison
Advanced EC3 material and section setup
Variant recorded for reference comparison; current engine uses strength grade only.
Advanced EC3 section-control assumptions
Force elastic resistance for Class 1-2 sections
Conservative N + My + Mz
Flange buckling not taken into account
Web buckling not taken into account
By default, Class 1 and Class 2 sections may use plastic bending resistance. This option forces elastic resistance using Wel instead of Wpl for conservative/reference comparison. Flange and web buckling toggles are recorded for reference comparison; not yet used by calculation engine.
Loads
Beam load input
Each load row has its own direction and G/Q load case. x positions are measured from the left end of the beam.
Uniform loads
Point loads
Moment loads
Trapezoidal loads
Axial forces
Axial force acts along the member X-axis. Each row uses its own G/Q load case.
Recorded for reference comparison; not yet used by calculation engine.
DATA REQUIREDSelect a subtype and enter its explicit dimensions.
End forces
For members with joint/end actions only. Positive N = compression. Values are entered as design actions and are not load-factored.

End 1 is x=0 and End 2 is x=L. Signed End 2 values are used exactly as entered. No G/Q load-combination factors are applied.
Column / buckling interaction (compression only)
When N,Ed is compression, the app adds member buckling resistance and major-axis interaction checks.
Current engine uses simplified interaction; reference Method 1/2 recorded for comparison.
Units / assumptions
Linear elastic beam analysis using an Euler-Bernoulli beam stiffness model. Positive load inputs are downward. Current input units: point loads in metric tonnes and UDL in t/m.
Stability / LTB
Check lateral torsional buckling
LTB C3, kw, load height, restraint model, moment-gradient method, lambdaLT,0 and beta are recorded for reference comparison; not yet used by calculation engine.
Supports / stiffeners
Support bearing, web bearing, stiffener model and modal analysis status are recorded for reference comparison; not yet used by calculation engine.

Calculation basis
Load combinations follow EN 1990. Steel resistance and stability checks follow the implemented EN 1993 methods shown in Help and the generated report.
Section data
Published section properties are sourced from row-level metadata in the bundled section database. Unknown entries are marked as source to be confirmed.
